Ava Greichaguer (Irene/Ensemble) will be a junior at Springfield High School. She has been in other shows at Swamplight including Matilda and Oliver, as well as Puffs and Jungle Book at Columbia Theatre. Ava is thankful to everyone who has supported her love for theatre.
Kendrel Luster (Travis) is originally from Natchez, Mississippi, and attends Ponchatoula High School. He participates in performances at school and was recently in A Christmas Story and Clue. He would like to thank his friends Remy, Ava, and Harmony for influencing him to join us at Swamplight.
Matthew “Goose” McNeese (Lyle) is a senior at Ponchatoula High School. He has been seen in PHS Drama Club productions as Scut Farkus in A Christmas Story and Professor Plum in Clue. He is excited to be portraying Lyle in FOOTLOOSE as well as to be learning from other actors.
Owen Grubbs (Garvin/Cop) attends Springfield High School. This is the first show in which he has ever performed. He would like to thank Harmony, Matthew, and Ava for convincing him to audition for FOOTLOOSE.
Reagan Peppo (Jeter) is in his first play at Swamplight and only the second play he has ever done. He is 16 and attends Springfield High School. He would like to thank his parents for pushing him to try new things, his friends for being there, and the directors for giving him a chance.
Sydney Michelli (Country Kicker/Ensemble) is entering Ponchatoula High as a freshman this fall. She has been in several shows including Seussical Jr., Fame, The Wizard of OZ, and Christmas Alice and Wonderland. She is excited to be in FOOTLOOSE at Swamplight Theatre. She started at Swamplight when she was very young and had no experience. Now, it is one of her favorite things to do. She would like to thank her parents for helping her grow in acting and the rest of her family for being there to support her in shows.
Taleya Jordan (Ethel McCormack) is a junior Music Education student at Southeastern Louisiana University where she studies classical, jazz, and musical theatre. She has performed for Southeastern’s Mozart Opera Scenes and this past December, was a featured soloist in Vivaldi’s Gloria at First United Methodist Church of Hammond. She has performed with Swamplight Theatre in Oliver (Mrs. Bedwin) and Wilber’s Disco Inferno of Love (Cabaret Performer). When she is not in productions, she competes in the Musical Theatre Division of the NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) competition. Taleya Jordan is the business owner of Cantante Music Lessons, where she helps both newcomers and seasoned performers achieve whatever goals they have in music.
Toby Cortez (Wes Warnicker) is Carter’s father, and this is his second show ever. He was first in A Swamplight Cajun Christmas Carol where he played Scrooge’s nephew. That was also his first show with his daughter and is glad to be sharing the stage with his wife as well. He is glad for this experience with his family and also the cast and crew.
