The Swamplight Theatre and the Kay Butler Performing Arts Project hosted the Ponchatoula Chamber of Commerce After Hours event on May 11, 2023.
Members enjoyed beverages and yummy appetizers as they chatted with other members and Swamplight representatives. A display of past programs, large props/set pieces, a television playing video clips from plays, and t-shirts from past productions and camps gave Chamber members a glimpse into the history of Swamplight Theatre.
The evening was capped off with some Chamber business, door prize drawings, drawings for two tickets to see our production of FOOTLOOSE! in July, and some of our Kay Butler Performing Arts Project students sharing a few selections from their spring showcase.
Swamplight and KBPAP were happy to have our Chamber members for a visit and learn more about who we are and what we do. We hope to see members back here to visit us at the theatre. Your involvement and support ensure that Swamplight can continue to be a contributing creative, cultural part of our community.
